What happened to Matthew Fox from Lost?

Dude hasn't been in anything since 2015.

Hasn't done another TV show since Lost.

And the last movie he did was Bone Tomahawk.

He probably got smart and refused to go 'woke'. That be my guess.

Matthew Fox had already solidified his status as a beloved actor in Party of Five when he scored the lead role in Lost. After playing Jack in all six seasons of the massively popular show, which ended in 2010, Fox seemed set to hit the big screen with aplomb. However, life didn't quite work out that way, and the actor has had exactly five acting roles over the last decade. Sadly, none of Fox's movie roles have set the world alight, from 2012's war epic Emperor and thriller Alex Cross to the 2015 movies Extinction and Bone Tomahawk.

While Fox's name appears on the credits of Brad Pitt's 2013 apocalypse movie World War Z, the majority of his scenes were cut from the finished movie after it underwent major rewrites. However, Fox told Men's Fitness in 2012 that when it came to working in movies, "The most difficult part was being halfway around the world and being away from my family." And so, the real reason fans haven't seen the Lost star in much of anything in a few years might have a simple enough answer: "For me, whether or not I work again is always gonna depend upon the quality of the opportunities that I get. And if I don't get quality opportunities, you probably won't see much of me. I'll probably be doing something else."

In the case of Fox, his struggles with alcoholism and an incident in which he allegedly punched a female bus driver probably hurt his career a lot. It didn’t help that his lost costar Dominic Monaghan made a comment on Twitter that he “beats women.”

This and more.

Fox basically got a bad reputation, his movie career never really took off and he wasn't all that enthusiastic about being a Hollywood actor. Even back in 2012 he was giving interviews in which he talked about potentially quitting the industry if he didn't land some good roles and how he originally wanted to become a banker.

Fox lives in Oregon and flies planes.

the money he made off Lost will go a long way in Oregon

He's not interested in the Hollywood life. Good for him I say. Plus there's really not much point in him returning to acting anyway, as there will never be a better role for him than Jack Shephard. LOST was his and the other cast members peak.

Why are you posting a link to that shit site btw? You honestly expect the idiots on reddit to have the answers?

"LOST was his and the other cast members peak."

I don't know I think Evangeline Lilly has been doing very well after LOST and with the Marvel films she reached a higher peak than she did with LOST.

I'm talking about quality, not how much money they made...

He was great in Bone Tomahawk the best he's been since Lost.
