Can't belive they killed the show...

First of all I just watched all 13 episodes. It's so cute & heartwarming. Reminds me a bit of the show "Opposite Sex".

I love this show! On a possitive note - ending with no cliffhangers & everything was almost well.

Second, it has so high ratings on imdb - doesn't add up.

ABC - BAD move!

Only a human child can give her this new name. A human child? Where can I find one?

Not really a bad move, its target was a VERY specific age group, teenagers, and it didn't have a huge show to launch out of like The OC had with Idol, it wasn't going to ever suceeed, even I as a fan of the show knew it wasn't going to suceed from the getgo.

Compare it's viewership - 4mil per episode, to the show that replaced it, Grey's Anatomy - 22mil per episode, which show are you going to choose?

I can't believe they put this show up against the OC. I was never a fan of the OC and loved this show. I wish they would have put this shoe on another night, built an fan base then put it up against the OC.

They played it a bit too safe from memory I think. The UK show 'skins' showed how to make a new generation teenage show a few years after this, as did 'the inbetweeners' in a different way. The show seemed safer than even the OC.

ABc is more of a 'family' network, but teen shows need to have an element of risk in them to succeed I think. Adult shows have much greater scope as to where they can be taken to. If you base a teen show around a group trying to get laid, it's going to get old really quick unless the writing is exceptional.
