Frank John Hughes

It seems as though Frank John Hughes (Henry Engels--security guard with drinking problem) has been replaced by someone else. Does anyone know or heard anything if Frank will be on the last two episodes?

I believe he was a police officer, not a security guard.

I hope he wasn't replaced -- his name was still on the opening credits, and I don't think any of the other officers were addressed by his character's name.

reply

He will not. His contract was up after 9 episodes.

WHY? I loved Henry. Did something happen in the show that he's not there anymore?

Henry was a great flawed character, good at heart, but unable to get a solid grip on managing his life. struggling with the push/pull of wanting to be a productive citizen, do his job well, to get along in society, while constantly being pulled by the undertow of his addiction and his character flaws. i loved this character!

That is so uncool. I love Frank John Hughes. Why can't he ever stay on a TV series for one season? I loved his character. The show really could have used him...or at least had him on the show while his contract was still going. There was only five episodes or so that he actually was on. So sad. :(

Moeny Money Money. They knew LAX was going down by the 9th show, and Mr Hughes would have asked for too much for the last 4 shows. More than a show with no backing at the network would pay anyway.

then why did they still prominently place him in the opening credits?
i was wondering why he wasn't in the last few, but i haven't been watching very closely, so i must have missed the part where they explain his absence.
