Why was the show never given a 2nd season?

I was just wondering why is that this show never got a 2nd season? I guess the show didn't fit into the WB's demographic audience at the time. I think the cause of the cancellation might have been because of the poor ratings. Had the show been picked up for a 2nd season, I wonder if the series would have ended the way that it did.

Because they were stupid...

The reason it got poor ratings was because it was constantly being moved. It moved 6 different times. I know I watched the first 5 episodes, and then it was moved to a different night, and so forth and so on. I downloaded the episodes, and I really enjoy this show. I wish someone was smart enough to pick this up, because this is/was a great show.

Actually, the WB renewed Jack & Bobby for a second season WHILE THE PILOT WAS STILL AIRING. A number of people tuned in to see what this show was about, so the WB thought it would stay consistent. I remember it was quite a large amount of people too. So they jumped the gun and assumed it would stay like that, but it didn't. Ratings began to decline after about 6 episodes, until finally they announced there would be no second season after all.

I sometimes don't read the bottom of posts because I think it's a signature.
