it got canned!

It was just announced... no more Dr. Vegas... kinda wished it hadn't gotten cancelled but I could see it coming.

reply

it said the show was put on hiatus, though usually that does lead to a cancellation...

not a coincidence i don't think that the last episode aired was the last one Amy Adams was in...

they made a huge mistake by letting her go...

i wasn't gonna watch the show anymore anyway once SHE left..

Effective immediately. They've already pulled it from this week's schedule. I found out that on the day the decision came down, they were still shooting. I'm entirely confused by this. The show was just starting to hit its stride, CBS orders 2 additional scripts & then 48 hours later puts it on hiatus? Make up my mind already!

Personally, I want this show back on the air. I think that Rob & Joey's chemistry is great, and Sarah's character was beginning to play a larger part in the eps, which helped to round things out even more.

like i said their mistake was letting Amy Adams go...

you guys would've lost all the Amy (nurse) fans...

i'm glad it's gone, since they canned her, they deserved to be canned...

I DONT UNDERSTAND!!! I swear I'm gonna flip one day and destroy my TV and Tivo and every piece of equipment used to watch television I can get my hands on...

What the *f* are these executives thinking when they pull a show after FOUR *f*ing episodes??? Can't they give ANYTHING a chance that doesn't come out of the gate like gangbusters? There has GOT to be a better way to get new shows on TV.

I HATE NETWORKS!!!

NO! I can't believe this show is canceled! CBS is going to wish that they never did that and they're going to pay for that! Maybe CBS wasn't the right network to distribute this show. I think either FOX, ABC, NBC or USA Network would have done a better job at hanging on to this show.

reply

This show MUST be picked up by another distributor. SPIKE would be a good one as would TNT or TBS, as well as the ones you suggested, Sonic.

Let cable channels flourish on the offal of the so-called "major" networks. A really good example of this is how USA picked up and ran with "Monk". Cancel more shows, CBS! The cable networks want what you've proven out for them!

I watch CBS almost exclusively and when I don't, it's usually USA, SPIKE or TNT, with a few short journey's to Hallmark and SciFi channels. I don't think "Dr. Vegas" would be a good fit for the last two, but the others... Go for it, guys!

Remember the adage: Laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone.

So don't cry over the loss of "Dr. Vegas." Instead, laugh at the stupidity of CBS. If enough of us laugh together, one of the other networks will hear us and pick up the ball CBS has clearly fumbled. Continuing the football analogy, this show has the potential of being run back for a touchdown!

Yeah you're right TNT would be a better choice because TNT knows drama! I like Spike TV would also make a good choice since they show some other shows that are Las Vegas crime-drama related shows.

reply

I am sure they are showing this in the UK at the moment on 'Challenge'...

reply

I know I missed the boat, but if I could just ad that... this show was derivitive, rehashed, crap. I think Vegas has pretty well been done to death. Do we need another show about Las Vegas? I mean, Jesus, there was a show called Vegas on when I was like...5 years old... Let's get on to other things.

reply

Well put !! Rehashed crap indeed.

Julie, did I ever tell you about my Uncle Henry Kotter?
