Clubhouse

This show made my heart glad. When it first aired I watched religiously and remember liking it a lot, then it disappeared after 5 shows I think.

I was fortunate to get DVDs of the whole series and i just watched them all, and I gotta say, this show was something truly special. It was fantasy, sure, but so was E.T., and the show brought out the same feelings in me as E.T. did.

There's a great moment in the pilot where Pete tells the girl about his first memory as a child, going to a baseball game with his dad, and that it was the only place he'd ever been where things made sense. And he hadn't experienced that feeling again until that first day as a batboy, being back at the stadium, where things made sense again.

Why can't there be more shows like this? No blood, no dead people, no sex, no violence, just pure joy and bliss.

I miss it.
