I like Taxi Driver, but I didn't really think of that as a reference. If nothing else, I only saw it as an attempt to make a statement of some kind. I've noticed that a lot of the skits in Blue Collar TV are vaguely trying to say something under all the hick-style humor. In this case high school cheerleading and dance groups and just how risque in general it's getting with teenagers with the limits being pushed further and further down to almost nothing.

The girl in Taxi Driver was a prostitute not a stripper.
And I don't think it was a nod to that film, it was just for the laughs.
