I have been waiting to see this film for close to 5 years now. I tried to get a screening here in Boston but I couldn't find a taker to screen this film. Back in 2001, I got a press release from King's Mob for an indie CD and I saw this movie in the kit. I had a 5 page release for the film itself. I was intrigued to say the least. I've been waiting to see it since then. It will screen in NY in January and be released on DVD in February. The new news is on King's Mob's website. One.

haha you sound like you got rejected at a Threat casting session! 3 negative message board posts and a bad review all at once? somebody musta hurt your feelings real bad. and i don't know why you think it's old. it doesn't look old to me. the characters talk about 9-11 and there's recent music from terror and bleeding through. get a life.

Cute flame war, boys.

I haven't seen this movie yet (just popped it on my Netflix queue), but I did think it was an interesting question about a movie taking ten years to make and/or get released.

I'm a film school student and my professor says Hollywood is all about "the overnight success ten years in the making." His theory is that it takes ten years of struggle for anybody to make it, but the media presents them all as overnight successes.

For example, Eli Roth spoke at my school and said Cabin Fever took him ten years. Also, I was just reading about John Roecker who said Live Freaky Die Freaky took him ten years. My professor has a dozen or so other first-time/ten-year films he can rattle off. I can put together a more thorough list if anyone cares.

Anyhow, I haven't seen Threat so I can't comment on when it was made, but that timespan does actually make a lot of sense for a first-time independent film.
