PLOT QUESTION -- Spoilers
Loved the film.
Can someone explain the end though? Who body was being cut open, his own? Is that why he was stitching himself up? Very confused by this!

He was cutting open his own body, removing the insides, so that he would be a sort of preserved (embalmed) human sculpture/statue.
Mad film! Fantastic if gruesome!
Maybe there was nothing left. Having done it to just about every other creature already, he performed a taxidermy on himself. The ultimate work of art. Something that maybe his deceased and ever disappointed and disapproving father would have been finally proud of. Sick! (Runs in the family.)
My only thought during that scene was... OWWWW. Awsome to watch ( my bf and I were actually naming the organs as they came out) but i kept woundering what kind of pain killers he would HAVE to be on to be able to do that. An Epi wouldnt work because he wouldnt be able to move his arms... and a local would DEFINATLY Not be strong enough.
