IS THIS AVAILABLE?

HAS THIS EVER BEEN RELEASED ON VIDEO OR DVD, HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS MOVIE?

reply

I saw it at the Berlin Festival 1984. I met the director and many of the cast.
I did read somewhere that a TV showing and a video release were imminent but that was over 10 years ago. The film is unique, it's as vivid in my mind as if I had seen it yesterday.

I attended the premiere in Dingle Co Kerry in Ireland, not far from where it was shot, met Martin Donovan and cast, got autographs etc. My brother and cousin were used as extras in it. I have been trying in vain to track down a copy of it for a long, long time now myself to have the pleasure of sharing a very nostalgic moment with them as it's been twenty odd years since the two have seen it. Alas, as far as my research has taken me, the movie was shelved due to some legal wranglings between the producer and the studio who funded it. I know there are some very poor quality copies knocking about in Kerry, but have yet to have any luck contacting a genuine source. i would be very happy to share it with whoever wants it once I track it down, and if anyone knows of a copy in existence out there, a post back on here would be very welcome indeed.

Happy hunting!

I know they are trying to put the whole film on Youtube, they've already done it with "Genova" and the video version of "Apartment Zero"
