loved it

i really don't understand why everyone seems to think this film is crap or maybe average. i've seen alot (and i mean ALOT) of asian ghost films and personally say this film knocks alot of the more famous ones (dark water, juon etc.) right out.

it plays right up there with a tale of two sisters! the story is nicely put together, the acting is superb, the soundtrack is effective and beautiful/creepy.
i dunno, maybe i just felt so bad for su-in that i became a sucker for this movie...
anyway, just my opinion

I though the scare tactics were really cliched, but the twist ending more than makes up for it.

I've seen many asian horror films too. And personally I think this is one of the most stylish ones. I liked the ending..

BUT.. The ghost was an exact copy from the ring! (Okay she didn't wear a dress) It would have been better if they had shown the whole face, not just the eye. And I hated it when she just crawled whole the time. Especially in the end where she crawls out of the water. I like the black-haired-ghost-girls theme but this was just SO unoriginal.

..But that's the only flaw.

Yeah, it's unoriginal, but what's not these days? There's alot of these typical Asian Horrors, and alot of them are medicore lately, but this one isn't. I thought it was really good.

However, this time the movie had a very valid reason to have the ghost hide her face with her long hair.

"This are Nice shoes! Couldn't you afford some real Nike?"

reply

All Korean girls have black hair.
So what should they do?

Personally I always get dissapointed when I see an Asian horror movie without black haired ghost girls.
