The soundtrack

Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to get hold of the soundtrack for this movie? I have altready bought two different recordings of Monteverdi's Madrigals but none of them sound as good as the versiion in the movie. I would also appreciate if anyone can tell me about the recording used, which year, where, who was the soprano?

reply

Hi,

Soprano: Claire Lefilliâtre (she also has other work)
Other singers: Le Poème Harmonique
Lead by: Vincent Dumestre

there is no official soundtrack to the movie, and the songs are not to be found on any existing recordings. BUT I did get a hold of the songs by sending an email to the producer. They send me a (burned) cd with all the songs for free! Their kindness deserves a followup, so send me an email at: thimon "at" reload "dot" nl and I will get you the music.

The movieversion is way better than the Monteverdi recordings you find in recordstores!

Yes! I'm dying to find this recording... it's unreal... everything else I buy doesn't come close... I think the recording is by a group called "Le Poeme Harmonique" But I couldn't find it listed on any of their releases... I must have this recording! Let me know if you find it...
