Growth of beard = sin?

Did anyone else notice that as Joshua Steed began to travel down the path of unrighteousness his beard grew more bushy? I believe this represents the darkness growing in his heart, manifested visually on his face.

This topic is so funny...

I think only those who hold the Aaronic priesthood are not allowed to grow a beard, mainly becuase they're underage. ;)

I C U P beneath the tree... ;)

Actually the filmmakers DID use the beard along with dark clothes, to distinguish the bad from the good. . . Ofcourse Brigham was temple worthy as I am sure your husband is. . . The 1st poster was not saying otherwise, actually the church has told area authorities to councel against facial hair (except a conservative mustache) for those who hold callings. . .

It's not a doctrinal thing so much as a standard thing.
My dad and husband are temple worthy and my dad will grow out a goatee and my husband a little bit of scruff but it's just to look clean shaven and show that you're taking care of yourself.

No Orrin Porter Rockwell exacting blood atonement??? He had a magnificent beard, and over 100 murders to his credit on behalf of Brigham Young.

Do you care to provide any support for the claim of over 100 murders ?

Oh Lord, you gave them eyes but they cannot see...
