Is the racism shown in Chan's shot accurate? I would have had no idea that this would have existed, or at least to this degree.

I think it had less to do with the fact that he was Chinese and more with the fact that he was so quiet. If people have a natural inclination towards bullying and they find that someone won't really resist, they'll bully. Race probably had something to do with it as well, but I doubt that was all that contributed to it.

In a way he was easy to pick on because he didn't defend or spoke for himself once he did he was treat better.

But also there could be a little of raicism.
