Am I the only one that LOVED this movie?

One of the best children's films I've seen in a lonnnng time. Original, full of adventure, and has heart. I saw it on an airplane and it helped pass time a LOT.

Giles: Don't taunt the Fear Deamon
Xander: Why can he hurt me?
Giles: No, it's just tacky.

I didn't love it but I did enjoy it. It's a nice family film that should get looked at. It did lose my interest a little during the last half but I do recommand the movie to moviegoers.

The movie, "Nim's Island" was released below my radar last April. I had no knowledge of it until it was released to DVD on Tuesday and we rented a copy.

Jodie Foster is really cute in this movie and it is definitely worth seeing.

It seemed like Jodie only thrived in serious movies but she did well in a comedic role in this film.

Similar situation for me. I kinda stumbled across the film while doing my usual IMDB browsing

My son (5) and I (27) both love this film. Its one of the few movies that he is obsessed with that I truly enjoy watching as well heh.

I am constantly on the hunt for movies that were "below my radar" when they came out

you're not the only one. Abigail was fantastic and fit Nim well from the book. Smart, resourceful, loved the nature on the island, but was also still a kid so she was terrified and worried.

I'm a 23 year old guy and I liked the movie a lot!!!

My daughter is 3 and loves Nim. She saw the movie four times at the local dollar theater and has watched the DVD at least that many times. I thought the film was fine but it has sparked so much in her that makes it more special to us. She has been talking about Nim for two months now. The animals the island and especially volcanoes. We are reading the book that came with our movie "Nim at Sea" and she is so excited about it.

I didn't get to see this in the theater,
but I am a HUGE Jodie Foster film,
and got the DVD as soon as it came out.
I'm a 62-year-old male,
and I really enjoyed this film.
I would have liked it whoever was in it,
but the whole cast was excellent,
and what a DELIGHT to see Jodie in a comedic role
(I don't know that she's done one since Freaky Friday!)
and to see that she has such a gift for physical comdey
(I hope she makes more movies like this).
This was a great family film,
and I would recommended it for anyone.

wouldn't say i loved it either but definitely enjoyed it. watched it on a flight and now just rented it because i wanted to get the whole movie on a tv screen plus see what parts i may have missed. surprised me actually as being a really pleasant film. i thought jodie foster was brilliant! for whatever reason, she's never endeared herself to me as an actor. she did in this movie...what a crack up and great acting by all.

I liked it a lot. My mum really loved it actually, and my sister quite enjoyed it too. We all saw it for the second time last night.

I loved it too! Jodie Foster was hilarious :)

And I loved how they did the wardrobe for Abigail too. Very California casual and cool. :)

Good. I was begining to feel alone here, lol

I really liked it! Got it "ON Demand" and watched it twice in 2 days.

I loved Jodie in this role, reminded me of myself, since I am a germaphobe.

She really did do comedy well. And of course, Abigail was great, her emotions were "right on".

And, last but not least (heavy sigh) Gerard was good and good looking too!

What if this is As Good As It Gets?

Moping for days.
Hiding under the covers from the world.
Searching for something, anything new, original, funny
to lift my doldrums and finding only bats, swords,
shoot 'em ups, cops and robbers.
Then the miracle!
Understand its all about my frame of mind
but Nim healed me.
Real writing, real actors, real escapism
Maybe not the best film ever
but the most on target when I needed it.
First time I ever voted a ten.

I really liked this film. I enjoyed this better than Freaky Friday (70's version) and Bugsy Malone which both starred Jodie Foster.
