Motley Crue

Back in the day, I was a huge fan of Motley Crue...still am...up until Vince Neil left the band...then it just didn't sound like The Crue anymore.

Vince Neil has a voice (love it or hate it) that is unmistakeable from anyone. Vince MADE that band. I know, I know...Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee originally started the band but Vince was still the intricate part of this band.

Their album sales after Vince Neil was kicked out was evidence of this. John Corabi is a great singer but to still call the band Motley Crue after Vince left is laughable. They did not sound like Motley Crue anymore.

Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee finally wised up and realized who their cash cow was and eventually brought Vince Neil back. They know where their bread and butter comes from so to speak.

However, at the same time...their is one album that I absolutely cannot stand by Motley Crue featuring Vince Neil...and that album is Generation Swine...they tried too hard to fit in with modern music...and failed miserably.

But...they finally got it back together with New Tattoo and the new music on Red, White, and Crue...and we finally have the original Motley Crue sound back!

Now comes the DVD Motley Crue Greatest Video Hits...I highly recommend this DVD because it has ALL of Motley Crues videos on it. They even have the uncensored versions of their videos. If you are a long time fan of this band, you will LOVE this DVD. And the bonus features are excellent. Even the commentary by Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx is quite enjoyable (why Vince Neil and Mick Mars did not sit in for the commentary I dont know).

Also, check out Motley Crues DVD Carnival of Souls...excellent and recent concert footage of their most recent tour.

Sincerely,
Sneaky Preacher
