Worst Sneeze in Movie History

my goodness. This is a good movie, but the sneeze is just so terrible. After Keanu sneezes, he looks up and has this look on his face like, 'Who the *beep* made me sneeze?'

I was totally going to comment on the same thing. I watched this last night for the second time and I almost laughed out loud when he did that. It's probably the cheesiest part of the movie. They could have just cut to a scene of him being sick the next day with a congested voice.

I think the way the camera zoomed in was pretty funny.

It's funny, I can overlook any and every small nitpicky thing that most people like to pick up on, all the ''but that really wouldn't happen!'' and the ''then why didn't they just yadda, yadda, yadda'' stuff and just enjoy the movie for what it is. I don't pick it apart and analyze too much so none of that stuff takes me out of the story.
But that sneeze! That sneeze does! I watch the movie once every couple of years and every time that scene rolls around I just think...Really? They probably had to do dozens of fake sneezes and *that* was the best one?

Oh prelease you didn't even think of this yourself you got it off smodcast or Babble on Hollywood. I heard it there a few weeks ago and taken out of context the sneeze seems bad but it really wasn't. What was worse was how they zoomed the camera in right after to make it more dramatic, that just made it all seem so silly.

LOLOLOL Watching it now, and you're so right! 

The funniest part is the build up TO the sneeze (when you go "Ah...Ah...") - Keanu really milks it!

I love this movie!

That wasn't the reason he had that surprised look...he had just read the letter from Kate who told him about the late Spring snow and that the worst cold/flu season was going around...

reply

Also, remember the early scene at the construction site, when Alex tells that other gal he was dating "I never get sick."

He was surprised at the sneeze because he thinks he never catches any colds or flu.

I don't remember a sneeze. Where does it occur? I'll have to re-watch the movie

reply

Alex got a letter from Kate warning him about a snow storm on that particular day and flu going around.

He sort of scoffed at the idea - there was no snow coming down.

He fixed himself some kind of soup and said "Come to Papa" while he poured it into a bowl.

Then he looked out his glass windows and saw a huge amount of snowflakes falling.

At that point, he sneezed.

I just watched this movie on Netflix. When I watched the sneeze scene, I thought that it was another highlight of Keanu Reeve's acting abilities.
