So she goes to the Valentine dinner she had him plan two years early and he doesn't show up.
Yeah.....no way would I go thru that, see his life end, the sheer horror of what the bus would have done to his body.....definitely wouldn't be in the mood for a wonderful romantic dinner.
I feel that was their only real goof.

Not a goof. At the time of the dinner, Kate didn't know that it was Alex that had died at Daley Plaza. She only realizes it's him in 2008, when she and her boyfriend are at Alex's brother's firm.

Well, I couldn't have tried the dinner in any case then.
Of course, as a doctor she had more cajones tho.
