what did you think of this movie?

I will be very honest and fair about this movie. Alot of the acting was pretty dull. I can't be any more blunt about it, I just didn't feel any emotions coming from the characters 80% of the time. The editing was pretty poor too and there were a number of shots that just didn't flow and rivaled the quality of a movie made in my high school media class. Some of the 3d effects were laughable, such as the crocodile in the beginning and the ship crashing against the waves. Also, the story just didn't seem to follow very nicely and the character developement was very pushed and cliche.

For the good things about this movie, I really liked the main concept, meaning the basic story was a great idea. I think something amazing could have come from this. The soundtrack is very nice too, and the fight scenes and battles were very nice, and quite entertaining. The costumes were equally well done.

In the end however, its not just the fighting and the costumes which will make a movie great (unless this is all that matters to you in a movie). So I'm afraid I didn't really like this movie so much.

I agree with you. I think it needed better acting and I needed to feel the emotions of the characters. Also, Maria's father gets killed basically because of Ferdinand or Fernando or whatever and she just runs to him and loves him in the end...HELLO! NO! They at least needed to fight for real, not some of her crying and getting a little upset at him and then going "oh, so father gave you the ring...ok...i love you!" Yeah...it all felt very fake.

well wath should i say, 100 min of my live wasted for this pice of (uwe boll/that means it could be one of his movies.) crap.
Well after very good Thailand movies like Ong Bak and Tom yum goong comes such a unworthily Movie. I mean the CGI- Effects wher very laughable and the fight scenes wher poor and always shown in the wrong Camera angle. well the main concept was not the best in the world but you could make something much better out it then that.

Everything from the stilted acting, the cheesy song sequence, and the terrible writing absolutely ruined this film for me. And of course the myriad of cliche scenes. The lame cgi didn't help matters at all.

The only redeemable aspects of the film where the two attractive female leads, and a few fight sequences. Even then, the slow motion scenes were over the top and underlined how bad the acting was.

Sean Casey... never write another film again.

I watched the first half-hour of this film, stunned by the abysmal quality of the acting. Then I walked out of the theater. I have only ever walked out of one other film, and that was also because the acting was awful. I could act better than these dorks, and that is saying a lot. Of course, the acting is not the only thing wrong with this film, only the most obvious. The script could have been written by a trained chimpanzee who had watched too many 1950s and 60s films and the film editor was obviously on drugs, probably marijuana.

What's good about it? I'm having trouble thinking of anything. O.K., the camera crew seemed to know what it was doing, although it's hard to tell because of the editor. And most of the costumes looked authentic to me, although a couple of times I thought I saw a guy in a t-shirt and jeans on the edge of the frame. Might have been my imagination, though, and I'm not looking again to find out.

That's insulting to high school movies, chimpanzees, and drug addicts everywhere!

The greatest compliment is the insult of a fool.

Aww man, I couldn't agree with you more. They way the movie started, I had no idea as to way the guy was being hanged or whatever they were gonna do. The acting by the Thai characters where lame and dull, it seemed like they were reading an English assignment in class, no emotion and just monotone. After watching this movie for the 10 mins, I had to switch channels I couldn't stand it anymore I felt like I qas getting dumber the longer I watched it. Avoid this movie like the plague, there are better Thai movies out there.

Worst movie I have ever spent money on, period.

I saw John Rhys-Davies' name on the cover and figured it was worth a watch. When the horrible CGI and the female antagonist was thrown in my face, I wept a tear for the cash I spent on it.

Yoe Hassadeevichit is probably the worst actress I've ever had the horror of listening to. I realize English might not be her native language, but could she overdramatize it anymore?

And what's with the obvious Parkour reference during Fernando's escape from the soldiers? Are they actually trying to convince us that the concept of l'art du déplacement was known and practiced by Portuguese mercenaries in the 16th century?

If I could sell this piece of crap, I'd do it. But no one would want to buy it.

If it's not in the two for five box at Wal-mart already, it soon will be.
