Is all this stuff about aquifiers really true? Is the US really going to run dry in a few years? Or is it just exaggerated to make Paul Gross look more cool? I would like to know.
shareTry a Google search on "aquifer overdraft" (no quotes) as a place to start. One of the really bad parts about aquifer overdraft is that it can lead to permanent damage to the aquifer through salt water intrusion or collapse. Yes, it's bad, and it's both worse and more serious than the press coverage of the matter would lead you to believe.
