It was alright...

A decent, somewhat entertaining bit of Canadiana film-making. Seemed a tad sloppy however, bad special effects, numerous plot holes and mistakes (ie, the movie appearently takes place in 2006, yet Leslie Hope's character's tombstone says 2004..as I said, sloppy). One second they're refering to the RCMP, next it's something called the "Canadian Federal Police".

Not bad, all-in-all, but no one would care about this movie at all if it took place in the US. Pure Canadian self-satisfaction.

First off, it is not possible for this movie to take place in the U.S.A.- we have more water. And secondly, it's fine to refer to them as the "Canadian Federal Police"- as it's fine to refer to the O.P.P. as the "Provincial Police" when one is in Ontario.

This was a fictional film ,I thought that the references to the federal police and to some boradcasting organisation which ws not called the CBC were meant to point out to viewers that it was fiction, and also not to insult the organisations.
I think I am correct in saying that nobody said the word MOUNTIE in this film, likewise the poitical parties are never named and the Indian tribe, was it a made up name as well.
I do not think that there is such an outfit as the CANADIAN FEDERAL POLICE.
This sort of thing is common in films.
