I sat through Daywatch, which is overlong and hard to follow, and at the end of the film the main character goes and changes time so that the events in the two films are wiped out.
Yeah, the movie was flawed, but that ending completely destroyed any enjoyment of the movie for me. Especially since it didn't just wipe out the second movie, but the first as well. Instead of seeing where the story went, none of it mattered. Those other characters who weren't Anton that you liked, they don't matter any more. The subplots crammed into the second were there for no reason but to pad out a weak ending that spit in the face of the story it was developing.
