What the *beep*

I've seen this movie like 10 times and still have absolutely no idea what's going on.

reply

You're not the only one. I am completly lost.

reply

10 out of 10 for persistence tho!

i watched 40 mins and stopped the dvd. How one person sits through this crap once is beyond me, let alone 10 times.

I could write a book on how bad daywatch is but I wouldnt waste me time and energy.

reply

I agree.....
The original was awesome.......why the hell did i wait eagerley for 2 years for this terrible sequel! No structure, no idea what the hell was going on! Im very much disappointed and sincerely hope Twilightwatch, the last in the trilogy is a vast improvement!

It's the second part of a trilogy, being the one "Night Watch", you have to see that in order to understand this one.

Try reading the book series first. They have been translated from Russian. I'm currently reading "Night Watch" by Sergei Lukyanenko.

You kind of have to be familiar with Russian culture and have seen or read Night Watch...

You have to watch "Night Watch" to have any clue what is going on in "Day Watch". I watched Day Watch first and as I told a friend, "that is either the best or worst movie I have ever seen". However, my curiousity made me find "Night Watch" and now I understand. Though I miss the hectic, what the hell is going on, feeling I used to have watching "Day Watch".

It's the only movie i've EVER turned off before watching, and I got about 20 minutes in.

I don't want to watch a dreadfully edited, tedious sequel to a movie I didn't like that's about chalk. it's just too much.

Seriously this wasn't the greatest movie ever but really if watching night watch you couldn't follow Day you need to get some concentration skills, it shouldn't be that complicated to follow. I got the whole entire movie it made perfect sense even it parts were drawn out. How the hell could you not get this film? Really how is this film complex?

In short, jezz man pay attention and stop looking for action scenes. Not a great film but definitely not a bad. one.

reply

yea a really good movie..if you don't know whats going you either havent watched the first one or are simply...dumb :)

reply

I read all the books with devotion and watched "Night Watch", and even for me it is partly difficult to see through the hasty chaos this film is. And still there are some really great ideas and scenes in it, so I really don't know whether I'm satisfied or not...

Neither side wanted the war. They just were trying to get Anton to take back what he did at the start of night watch which was inevitably going to lead to the start of a new war.

It may look good v bad but in reality their just two groups of people who have to live side by side.

unfortunately unless you have seen night watch and remember everything single thing that happened then this film is meaningless.
