I bet you rated the other cast and crew members Ten-out-of-Ten, didn't you?

The former of the 2 suggestions you made for an answer.

Edward Frierson as Seiji Hayami
If he pulled off a good Yakumo in 3x3 Eyes (Streamline), he'll definitely make short work of attempted criticism as dub-Seiji Hayami.

Dorothy Melendrez as Natsuko Aki
I heard Natsuko's original voice actress as UY's Kurama, and it sounded like Dorothy Melendrez. Check her IMDb page for her filmography.

Dan Andrews as Sister Jill
Pulling off a high-pitched voice as Crash Bandicoot make make him suitable for this villain (who has a secret that might spoil your surprise if you saw the 1973 animated Cutey Honey TV series.)

Jimmy Price as Black Claw
Many CH stories depict Black Claw as female, but check the IMDb page for Mitsuhiro Oikawa and you'll find that this time, Black Claw is played by a (you heard me right) MAN!

If there were an English dub of Kyuti Hani, the film would lose it's hilarity.
The main reason why it's funny is because of the way they say things most of the time.
Japanese people have unique voices. :)

reply

There is, Bandai did it, it does. japanese jokes are not funny in english.
Here is the Black Claw Fight Scene, you can see what I mean:

English dubs suck. They ruin foreign films.

Perhaps an English dubbing would improve upon the terrible acting done by the Japanese cast.

Dubbing in any film is a horrible horrible idea. The ONLY justification is if you have a physical limitation with reading subs, otherwise it is a lazy and pointless exercise.

reply

Hmm pointless exercise...
Well that is your opinion on dubbing.
It has been happening for years, and it has been happening in various places around the world.

I could say. You not being able to understand the language without some white and yellow font, is lazy. Or that children and teens who watch their cartoons with dub overs from their own country, are lazy and stupid, but I won't because I don't find that to be a true view.

I doubt the Director / Creators intentions were for their work to be watched online or having their work plastered with font and mistranslations.

Well you could say it, but it wouldn't make any sense.

I find the English voice they used for Honey to be every bit as grating and annoying as some Americans find Japanese voice actresses to be. In fact, I'm going to show such a person a sample of this, and ask her if she finds the voice even more annoying than she finds anime girls' voices.

I've never really had a problem with any other voice I've ever heard for Honey, Japanese or English. But this... I just don't like it.
