Highly partisan

Which is perhaps not surprising, given that it's based on Lindy Chamberlain-Creighton's own version of events. I'm neutral, convinced neither of her guilt nor innocence; but what bothered me about this production was the negative portrayal of any person who was not firmly in the Lindy camp. They're either incompetent, self-serving, sanctimonious, downright sleazy - or even a mixture of all the above. Also, the pompous, inept and emotionally-stunted portrayal of Michael Chamberlain didn't sit quite comfortably with me. In fact, the only character with any real dignity, integrity or resolve was that of Lindy herself. While most of the facts seemed to be accurate, and the suppositions where there were no facts quite reasonable, the whole thing seemed to me to be skewed in a highly biased fashion - which ultimately spoiled my sympathy for the 'heroine' of the piece and left me feeling a little aggrieved. I preferred the less fact-heavy but more balanced A Cry In The Dark.
