Any one else not really like Ran? (spoilers)

so i finished watching this show about 3 weeks ago. and it was stunning to say the least, just as compelling as lain or haibane renmei. but did anyone else not really like Ran? i didn't really find her to be that interesting. her cowardness was realistic i suppose considering her age but i don't agree with what she said. i'm referring to her "premonition" about ichise. Sure, ichise killed people, but he was killing for revenge and survival. why the hell was she freaking out over that?? i really disliked that about her.

Knowing about your upcoming grim future can be scary i guess. Besides, the problem with ichise is that the only way he know how to solve problems is through punching people and kill them. He don't know any other way. I don't know what was to happen if ichise would solve things in more delicate ways. But that's why ran feared from him. Ultimatly he is the one who changed the course of the city from bad to absolute end (if you can call it that). Ran feared from all guys with potential to change the future because they were all doomed to end with the dream state.

I always got the impression Ran did not want to see Ichise's future because she was concerned for him. I did not think it was because he killed people and she disliked that: I recall one episode where Ran was watching him beat some Organo guys up, and she said something like "Good boy".

Truly, I thought it was because she knew he was, in his heart, one of the few good people in Lux, and knowing he would die alone after the death of everyone else, was all just too much for a 14 year old girl to handle.

In that scene, she says "good boy" to cool him down.
