Dubbed or Subbed?

I've always watched this show/played the games with the dub since my childhood, so when I started rewatching it, I chose the dub. Out of curiousity, how does everyone else watch it? All of my friends watch it dubbed as well, but most people online like subbed (mostly because you don't have to wait for new episodes). What do you think?

reply

I have always preferred it subbed because I cannot stand the voice of the fifty year old woman who does Naruto's voice. It is annoying.

reply

Yeah both Naruto are annoying but dub is cancer. Orochimaru is hilarious and that's about it as far as i know. So subbed obviously.

I started with Dub, but that changed quickly as soon as I found out about the sub. Sub is way less annoying.

Dubbed. Reading a cartoon sucks. Plus it's not that good that I'm riveted to the screen like with a foreign flick or something.

reply

Hearing a cartoon sucks too in this case, and reading the subtitles gives you something to do while waiting for Sasuke and Naruto to stop staring at each other for 15 minutes and do something.

Subbed is the only way. Try watching it dubbed with English subtitles and you will see the American actors or often way off on the dialogue. My stepdaughter watches the Disney show "Lab Rats" and when I saw the woman (the principal) who does Naruto's voice and heard her speak I almost got sick to my stomach.

reply

Subbed. Back in 2003 there wasn't any dubs, you know.

Please excuse my terrible redaction, english is not my native language

reply

I'm in same boat as you but I'm re watching the series with my girlfriend and they change the tone of the show in English it's allot more pg. I don't hate the English dub but I also prefer it in Japanese.
