Did anyone yawn watching this?? Be honest

This is arguably the most mundane mini series ever to hit the television set, and I've seen some whoppers. I found it far from interesting and seethed as I realized that I was actually paying to watch this eye rot.

It's one single saviour from the little glimpse that I was forced to endure was the half naked Native Americans and First Nations men toiling around onscreen. And yes I did watch lustfully and with the pleasure at seeing their upper bodies ripple and flow. How I do wish I could've been one of those horses!

The storyline was too busy and should've concentrated more on the core characters giving more soul if you will to the two families it focused on, rather than giving small tidbits in between of characters that were insignificant and and incomplete. Stevo what were you thinking buddy? If this was meant to be realistic you would've been better off producing a well defined documentary not some half cut attempt at reviving a tale of the west and Wounded Knee.

Anyhoos I'm sure this is one purely for the critics, as I'm aware there will be a billion more fans who will gladly attack me in vengeance for this little spiel. I say good day to you all, because if we all agreed how would we acknowledge and enjoy what is different?

My thoughts exactly. Overall, lame. My wife disagrees. Maybe I'm influenced by watching the much better HELL ON WHEELS, a far more powerful look at the West, which airs right after this.

I could hardly get past the first season of Hell On Wheels, the acting and writing is atrocious, reminded me of the writing and acting in Spartacus tv series and The Tudors.

I liked the first couple of eps and then got bored. It's Spielberg so it was always going to be sentimental and simple. Just losing the female character who was taken by the Indians was a mistake too. I would have liked to see more of that.

I think there were too many characters as well and perhaps it spanned too long a time over too few episodes. It could have been done better.
