Dude, why does no one speak of this show?

It got advertised in Anime Insider and everything. Damn. I'm up to episode 18 on youtube while my torrent downloads, and so far it's pretty interesting... Kinda lacks plot/direction/some kind of substance, and maybe has a weeee bit too much fanservice for my tastes, but the characters are cool and the setting's nice.

So far Jo's my favorite, followed by Kyohei, Sei, Akio and the rest of them... It's kinda episodic, and all the flashbacks with Jo fighting drag out, but other than that, I'm surprised that this one isn't getting any attention, it's a pity they're not showing this on Adult Swim (at some point they said they might, alas, too much fanservice), that'd get some viewers... Anyways, it's a pretty cool show. Watch it, people.

EDIT: Finally saw the ending, and damn, everything gets better by ep 19 and above... Ah well, it's still a pity no one seems to care much for it, but yeah, it's worth a watch.

With Jo? I don't think it mentions anything like that anywhere - I think they're just good friends and all.

The series was OK. It was way to heavy on fan service though. The animation for most of the show was subpar.

There was total lesbo action!

My understanding is that in the Manga they are lesbians or it is seriously hinted at. I haven't read it so I don't know for sure. Watching the series kinda gives that impression but they never come out and say it.

Jo and Meg have strong feelings for each other that appear to go beyond friendship, but the series doesn't take it any further than that.

Does anybody know when the OVA is coming out?

Noone speaks of this show because it wasn't very good. I actually bought the box set for $20 off Ebay and feel slightly ripped off. It's worth a rent, but not owning. Shameless Bubblegum Crisis ripoff.

2012 WILL HAPPEN!!! (Right after 2011 happens)

Oh please. Do you know what you are talking about? While I can't speak for DVD sales in the US the show was one of the biggest hits the year it was out in Japan and also one the most successful of studio Gonzo. Now that they are kinda broke they start to go back to their most successful hits (Last Exile) and Burst Angel might see another season.

I just want to say that Burst Angel is an amazing show! It is sad that not many people know it...but I just want to inform everyone on the whole flashbacks dragging out. You guys have to understand that when they air these shows in Japan, the episodes come out once a week, so the dragged out flashbacks are there to catch people up on what they missed or to recap. It's not like over here where we go through an entire boxset in like 1-2 days or so.

This series sorta bites. No one does anything other than Jo. Her GF Meg is whiny and does nothing, Sei doesn't do anything either, except call her contacts and Amy is the 12 year old backup.

The one I feel sorry for is Akio, because he has to deal with their whiny brats.

The story is lame, the action is silly (really taking on mechs with 2 Desert Eagle handguns? Does that make sense to you) and a plotline that really doesn't go anywhere.

The animation can be nice at times.
