I saw this movie on tv yesterday (missed the first half an hour though) and i was particularly looking forward to seeing audrey tautou. However the film finished before i managed to catch a glimpse of ms. tautou! Who did she play? Who was martina? Where did she live? What did she look like? i’m in total confusion!
shareIt would have been a scene in the first half hour. I came in on the movie during it. I take it she was an ex-girlfriend that came to a party. She had just been through something?? They talked and ended up spending a platonic night with him. Although when she left in the morning it caused a break up with his then girlfriend. I stopped to watch because of her and it took me a while to realize her 2nd billing was for her name and not time on screen. I missed the ending so not sure if she returned or not.

Audrey Tautou wasn't even remotely part of the overall plot and much more of a seriously-on-the-back-burner role which makes her top-billing a big mystery to me. I guess her name alone is enough to bring in viewers but that seems disingenuous when her role was so small and really not that crucial.
shareShe had a more minor role in these films as an ex of the protagonist. She was in this one more than the last, however.
