Enjoyed it more than the original

I only watched about an hour of the original on TV one night but ended up changing the channel because it just got far too boring. This however, I was more than happy to sit through from start to finish... anyone else enjoy this more than the original?

They cut a lot out of this movie. Characters had a lot more backstory. But yeah it gets to the meat of the story instead of getting bogged down. Moves at a fast pace.

Oh, definitely. I love the movie but yes, it was pretty clear that they cut a lot of it out. Clearly the studio notes were 'Get to the action as quickly as possible!".

Would've been great if the DVD was actually an Extended Edition, but I guess the studio was not that enthusiastic about the movie after it bombed at the box office. Shame.
