Abscure cigarette reference?

The line went by me too quickly (where young Steve makes a joke to young Lisa, which she gets). Can anyone fill me in on what he said?

He said, "With your eye, you look like the Tareyton man."

"Definitely. Most definitely. Talking about love is like dancing about architecture."

I cracked pretty hard at that reference. I remember seeing Tareyton ads in magazines as a kid and wondering what was up with all these people with black eyes.

The Tareyton ads showed a person with a black eye, with the caption "We Tareyton smokers would rather fight than switch!". I saw them growing up, as well, and the advertising slogan stuck with me.
Better than that, though, was the Doral slogan... "Taste me, taste me... C'mon and taste me!" A dancing cigarette box, with great legs and fishnet hose, sang that little phrase, in the TV ads. LOL!
Great way for them to show the timeline of the film, too, with just that one little line!

Just browsing imdb and looked at my account (and old posts). I must have been really tired when I wrote this (now about 4 years ago). I do know how to spell "obscure." :)
