But not hers? Frank gives away her clothes, throws away her ashes. The dance instructor too, decides to stop talking about her mother as if she were still alive. Everybody lets go of the past.

But not the dog. I guess a dog really is a man's best friend. LOL.

I kinda thought the same thing! . . . but then - I can understand - from Franks dialogue, and other things, there might be some valid reasons for this:

Seems like Frank knew the dog better than his wife . . . he seemed to express regret for not knowing his wide better . . .

The dog probably did not kill
itself

The dog doesn't leave a lot of personal items behind like a human, which are constant reminders.

Some of the dialogue seemed to imply she killed herself
because of being lonely with
Frank gone working all the time ...

The dog is almost never angry with you, cusses you, or has even positive dialogue with you. The dog simply always adores you, and is always thrilled to see you even when you've only been gone 10 minutes.
