...the rock star's? When he was telling her things like "I really like you" and "You're the one I want" were we as the audience supposed to interpret that as him lying to her? Maybe I'm naive, but I didn't. There was no evidence to suggest otherwise anyway. The ending and the 'love triangle' was just really random.
