What's the storyline?

I'm related to the Director and I'm wondering what this movie is about and if a 13-year-old would be able to see it and general information about unsuitable stuff.

The movie isn't really about anything specific. It's a "mockumentary" and it follows the singer's life through a series of interviews with friends/family/musicians and so-called actual footage of him during his career.

There is a lot of swearing and drug references. I'd say it's probably not appropriate for a 13-year-old but that's just my take. Others might feel different. I'd say more importantly a 13-year-old might not find it funny the way an adult would. Who knows?

I'm sorry if you were hoping an opinion in time to see it at the Toronto Film Festival. I really enjoyed it.

It depends on the maturity level of the 13-year-old in question. Have they been exposed to and educated about this kind of stuff before? This movie does depict drug and alcohol abuse, and has more than a few swear words, but nothing too extreme.
