really good movie...if you love music

I first saw the preview for this movie on the Glastonbury DVD. I found a used copy on Amazon and watched it as soon as it came in. I admit, I was afraid it would be slapstick, and almost didn't watch it. Also I'm usually suspicious of movies that try to connect fictional characters to well known artists. Like Dewey Cox (although that's a different kind of movie). This movie was much better than I expected! I loved the music references and Guy's connection to known country and rock legends. All the musicians tell their stories very convincingly. Almost like they're not acting at all. I think that's why it works so well. I think this movie is really for serious music fans. And that's who I recommend it to.
