To be completely honest...

If I found out I was going to die of cancer or whatever, I would forget chemo, cash out my 401K and travel Europe. I've been to a couple European countries and I would love to go back, but unfortunately it would take death to go back. I don't have any kids and it doesn't look like I ever will and my parents are covered financially so I'm going back to Europe and spending money on all the nice things I wouldn't normally spend it on and whatever was left would go to my nieces and nephews.

This movie had a great message that was screwed by the stock Hollywood ending that everything ends perfectly.

I'm erasing you and I'm happy!

Well the original 1950 movie revealed early on that George Byrd was mistakenly diagnosed, his x-rays were mixed up with another patient's, the irony is he finds out he's not dying, just to get killed on the way back to the hotel in a car accident. I guess the true question is how did J.B. Priestly originally end the story? True he didn't shy away from death, that's the big difference in the movie Old Dark House and the original story Benighted, but I'm curious if his original story had the main character mistakenly diagnosed as well or if that was Hollywood's doing.

But I agree on the first part, I've seen how well chemo does NOT work, I wouldn't waste my time and what's remaining of my health on it.
