....left-wingers would make a movie decrying the authority and misplaced priorities of our education system when left-wing, statist politics are responsible for schooling's having been nationalized by the government in the first place, and for it's encroaching authority over students and parents, and for the enormous power of the teachers' unions.

Not really, since it's the right wingers who are stifling freedom of expression in the schools.
shareI was discussing who created the power in the first place, not whoever wields it in a particular district. Left-wingers created the concept of compulsory, nationalized education. If you don't believe me, just read up on the history of it.

As long as schools are administered by the government, and as long as curriculum is designed by the government, we will have these problems.
shareBut see..this has nothing to do with political parties. It's about an overbearing principal who makes life to hard for the kids..it's that simple...and for no reason at all because they are doing nothing wrong. All the kids ended up joining the cause in the movie and I'm sure many of them are from conservative backgrounds.
