Not too bad... Hello, is this thing on? ~cricket~

I realize I could be the only person ever to comment on this movie, here. All in all this movie pretty much wreaked and I don't know what the makers hoped to accomplish. It wasn't without merit, though. I know, Merits??, you say? There are few. Nevertheless, there has to be someone who'd agree with me on this one: The photography was pretty cool of some of the African wildlife roaming through some of the scenery in this film. They at least captured that and some of the "local color" of "the bush". Most anything, having to do with the half-caste creature was pretty weak and often lame. However, if one has ever watched Fear Factor, Survivor, or Shannon Dougherty's reality show (Scare Tactics??) - which often seem SO rigged, they may as well have been a fictional lame movie. I enjoyed this film more than those since it never claimed to be "real" or took itself serious like "Blair Witch...". However, be warned... if you have to use a pretty lame-@$$ tv show to support a movie, things are desperate.

However, having said that, I'd declare that most people would not enjoy this too well, and would prefer to see any other movie over this one. As I tend to be pretty lenient on films, I gave this 5/10 just for the location shots and scenery with real wildlife in it. Some of the scenes with the characters had me laughing with them, as opposed to most of the film where I was laughing at them.

I'd like to know if anyone else thought this movie wasn't the worst they'd ever seen.

Strangers with this kind of honesty make me go a big rubbery one. ~"Jack"

I rented this one, watched it, and actually considered buying a used copy shortly afterwards. However, the 'merits' offered by this movie are over-shadowed by the very stilted acting (probably more the dirctor's fault than the actors) and a criminal lack of any real suspense.

From the beginning it plays itself to be a Blair Witch rip-off, which in itself is no crime. But the petty bickering of the characters became too tiresome for me to care who would live or die, and the appearence of the monster at the end never brought the satisfying horror movie pay-off or the 'what's really out there?' suspense/thrill of BWP.

I really can't recommend this to anyone except film students, and even then only as a lesson in humility.

I thought this movie was alright. It was a good idea, and I thought that when I rented it, and it could have been done better, but I actually did like the way they made up the actual Half-Caste. But then again, I am into special makeup effects and such, haha. And I too enjoyed the shots of the animals and locals.
The bickering did get a bit annoying after a while, I kindof wished someone would say "Alright stop, let's figure this out" and actually talk. But anyway. :D It wasn't BAD, per se, but it wasn't the greatest thing, either. Props to the makeup dept.

I wish I could take back that hour and a half I wasted and pull off my toenails with pliers.

I found it rather amusing, actually. They made a horror movie on a scrawney budget, and had quite a bit of fun doing so from the looks of it. Heh, more enjoyable to watch than things like 'Night of the Lepus' whaich I've sat through. I applaude them for being able to get such a cheap, almost whim-based film out into production. Quite a fun film really, and the wildlife shots are good... ya just can't take it seriously.

yeah, this is one of the worst films ever (and i don't throw that out there lightly). when the writer and director also stars in it and has random scenes of him lifting weights, you know it's just there for his ego. maybe he won the lottery? i don't know. nothing can explain what went on here.
