'Strong resemblance to A380' LOL

So in the trivia it says the "plane" in this movie strongly resembles the A380. Uhm. On what planet? It looked more like the Starship Enterprise. The non-passenger areas seemed to be enormous. And there were seperate sleeping quarters for the crew? Wtf?

Also, the windows are asymmetrical, and on a real airplane their oval-shaped. Also the nose is completely different to a regular airplane, and the color is battleship grey.

It's like the set designer has never actually seen a real airplane.

The plane is another, major character in the film. Its style is meant to convey what the characters are feeling during the film, if that makes sense. It's designed to look menacing and foreboding, with its dark colour and pointed nose. I think it looks really cool and the panoramic windows add to the plane's near future design. The attic and hold should have been all-carbon though. Lot of 3M rolls would have been used up in production.
