I don't care if the point of the girl's character is that she's changed ever since her dad's death. The girl seemed very bored in the movie, she doesn't even cry when her father is mentioned. I would let her die if a kid like that seemed very unemotional!

Maybe she was that hurt that she was so numb to show her emotions, ever thought of that? Not all people cry and show their pain.

The acting of little actress matches behavior of the self-absorbed child.
