My TOP 200 Movies -http://www.imdb.com/list/iFa7p7uwsr8/
if you are into arabic literature read KALILA WA DEMNA, originally a persian literature work but was translated to arabic by Abdu Allh Ibn Al Mukaffaa.
there's alot of work you'd enjoy from arabic literature
I Palestine
I would recommend you to watch Jules et Jim.... In many ways it is very similar.... specially regarding the love triangle....
Wow, an impressive list indeed, thanks a lot...i'll be sure to check out as many as i can...thanks again!
shareI'd recommend Douglas Coupland's novel "Generation X" as it has a similar two boys and girl dynamic and more references to the experiences of the post-60's generation.
Die Zweite Heimat is a great, but very long (26 hour) chronicle of the 60's through the eyes of young Germans. There is some reference to Baader-Meinhof in that too.
Another Ken Loach film, I don't think it was mentioned above, that's appropriate here is Riff Raff, not about youth per se, but about exploitation and the perils of working with little or no protection.
Good to see The Battle of Algiers mentioned, it's been way too long since I saw it last, but it's easily one of the finest political films ever made.
Julio Medem's Basque Ball is an interesting documentary about the politics of that region.
just adding a few:
Libertarias
Can Dialectics Break Bricks?
This Revolution
I would suggest watching "The Weather underground"
shareWonderful list...
May i suggest "3 iron" to you?
It is korean, and you can find it on youtube.
It is a moment of transcendence when one recognizes oneself as an adversary- Ramu
Mouth to Mouth, with Ellen Page.
'A Reaffirmation of Freedom' read the box, and I absolutely agree. A bit hard to track down but so beautifully worth it, and with the same intimate camera style of the Edukators.
