Laugh a minute stuff

This used to be a semi-sitcom when it started. It had some gritty and hardcore stuff but James Nesbitt was still James Nesbitt in it. I didn't know it had become so dark and depressing!

Why is it that attractive people hardly ever have tattoos?

The novelist Colin Bateman, creator of Murphy, made him a darkly comic character. Then the TV series went for dark without the comic, to Bateman's disapproval.
