Why does Doc Martin only film every couple of years? I have watched other British series that film every year. The strange thing about filming every other year is that they dont account for it in the next series. Louisa left and when the series returned years later it had only been 3 weeks in the life of the characters. And they are looking older. Im just curious.
shareReasons include trying not to disturb the town where they film too much and Martin Clunes playing chicken with ITV until they provide yet more cash.

Maybe because they only film during summer. and unlike other shows, they don't film in studios.

I'll say anything at this point my words will vanish along with everyone's on Feb 20th anyway.
