Did it have a proper end?
I have already seen here that it did have an story arc.
Question is, did they close the story as they do in UK, or was it left with 3 thousand questions like gringos do?

The story was closed but it was a bit of a dark ending that could have started a second season. The three universes were saved in the end by the actions of Charlie Jade and 01 Boxer and permanent pathways between Alpha, Beta and Gamma universes were created. The Alpha universe citizens were free to migrate to Beta and Gamma after the corporations were overthrown in the last episode. Charlie Jade and 01 Boxer were trapped in the universe of the Grey Suited Men which turned out to be a 4th universe. The Grey Suited Men in the last scene have a comatose Charlie Jade and 01 Boxer attached to breathing apparatus in a hospital like building observing them. The End.
