They don't even give you a clue to this change on the website. I thought they just stopped showing it. Now it's better to just rent it or buy it at this point. They did it so abruptly with no announcement makes me wonder why they even bother showing it at all. They can leave crap like Flash Gordon on for a full season (tell me that wasn't painful)... but they cut this out with no warning? I can't believe its ratings could be worse. At least this had an interesting premise. I don't know what to call Flash Gordon besides really insulting.

This is the second time they yanked an interesting show aimed at more than a 14 year old intelligence. The S-F network has become a huge disappointment with only a few exceptions. Their original movies are junk as well as most of their original programming, except BSG of course.

I only found out because I was adding a program to my DVR list and noticed Charlie Jade wasn't listed on Friday. I checked it out and noticed that they swapped it out with another rerun of SG-1 (Which further proves my point that SG-1 wasn't cancelled because of ratings, and money, but because Daniel, Teal'c and Carter wanted to move on too but that is another board, and another topic) Once I seen this I jumped on the internet and found CJ at it's not craptastic time Tues. 3:00 AM EST... thank god I live on the West Coast and it comes on at midnight right ? However if I didn't DVR I would of never caught it and I would of missed on on episode three... but then again my DVR had a glitch and the episode was cut off right before the news alert about the terrorist.

I'm watching the series for the first time, but the IMDB indicates it started in 2005. Is this one of those shows (and don't get me wrong, I really like the concepts) that is already done, with no more new episodes, and we're just getting to see it on US TV for the first time now? Or is it still alive?

The time slot change is odd. Good thing my DVR will spot and record any new episodes, whenever they play.

Looks like I found the answer to my own question by checking out the bios of the cast. Seems they all moved one after 2005 and 21 episodes, so I'm presuming that's all there is of the show, before it was cancelled. Probably left quite a few loose ends in the story lines.

SABC 3 aired this show in South Africa as well, and then suddenly stopped the series with the last two episodes remaining. There was also not a single word spoken about the cancellation on TV. I watched every single episode of the first series, except the last two. I was so pissed off that I emailed the broadcasting office, but OFF COURSE I got no reply. I'm from Cape Town therefore I loved this sci-fi series shot in Cape Town and Grabouw (scenes from the parallel universe portal lab was shot within the Grabouw water tower)

Check out the Charlie Jade podcast for details behind the blueprint of season 2 (episodes 21-34) http://www.charliejade.net/2009/07/31/charlie-jade-commentary-se05/
