Who is Gemma Gitano the aqua engineer? They show us a whole back story her growing up with charlie in the streets, but she looks just like the Jasmine/Paula character. Is she another doppleganger? There's no Gemma listed in the imdb castlist. I'm thinking it's the same person.

It was never explained what happened to her. She may have been killed but on the other hand she was a useful asset so they may have just rher. If they wanted to just kill her, they could have done it on the spot, without releasing Charlie.

Yes and Gemma told the others that this is how companies work, it's just business. She was both confident and nervous at the same time so she obviously felt it could go either way.
