TP similarities?

only a few episodes into the series and really like it. just keep being reminded of twin peaks. not in a heavy handed or bastardized way....more like an affectionate nod in some respects. the noir-ish feel, DI Carlisle's love of sweets (its not jelly doughnuts and cherry pie, but still), and a host of other things.

NOTE: i dont for a second believe Peter Bowker, Coky Giedroyc, or Julie Anne Robinson made any attempt to copy david lynch so please dont turn this into a lynching.
