All New Crew

Wow, my wife and I just watched the 'Heroes' week, and it's a whole new crew! Where's Jim Boller? Max Mixon? Officer Christiansen?

reply

I was just wondering the same thing. Even the doctors are different. The only people I recognized were Charles Jansen and Deputy Kendrick.

reply

Unfortunately, the crews change, but the cruelty cases all start to look horribly the same.

My question is if the 'old crew,' so to speak, had quit/retired/moved to another city or position within the HSPCA, or if they were merely focusing on different people now.

reply

I guess maybe Bollar retired, but you never see Max Mixon or Officer Christiansen, so I guess they moved on or quit, because they don't seem to ever be mentioned at all.

I would imagine there's a lot of employee turn-over in this line of work, I don't know how they stand seeing all that constant suffering and cruelty (I mean, a vet sees bad stuff, too, but at least some of their work is also non-illness/injury stuff like innoculatons), even if they can help some of it and some of the animals go on to have nicer lives.

On the Saturday night episode, "Snakes Alive," they said Kristy Franks was the most senior officer, so I guess they've all moved on, Boller (my favorite because he was the horse guy), Christiansen, that other lady I got mixed up with her, and the older lady with the short dark hair. Shame, they should say what happened to them, where they are now.

reply

I read somewhere that Boller is now working somewhere in Colorado.

It's surprising that Kristy Franks is the most senior officer. I remember the episode where she was a rookie.

I wish they would do a follow-up showing what happened to officers no longer on the show. I always liked Sheila and she is gone, too.

I've tried all the sites I can think of to find out where these people went to. I thought Jim Boller & Max Mixon were terrific. Where are they? Anyone know?

They have been showing reruns from 2007 through 2011 here in NY over the past few months. The crews still keep changing - as do the uniforms. It is interesting to see the differences over the years.

Well anyway, today they showed an episode from 2005. I don't know if that will continue, but it was fun to see Mixon and Christiansen again. Boller was in the opening sequence but not in the episode. Max was chief investigator and Jantzen was assistant chief. The uniforms were khaki pants with blue denim shirts.

I hope they go back to the first season to see the entire original crew.
