Was harry in on the robbery with bill?

let me know i couldnt tell if he was or wasnt

reply

i would like to know too

i thought he was in on it, then he seemed to not be when he was shot

reply

No, he was not. It was all explained in the car when Jack was telling Janet what was going on. Harry was duped as part of the scam to get close to Jack.

***SPOILERS***

The only scene where Harry seemed to be in on it was when he answered the call from Cox that one time. But we find out this is not the case when Cox and Harry walked into Harry's apartment. Clearly from the dialogue Harry thinks Cox is a banker and that really does have a job proposal.

Harry was only being used to set up Jack. Jacks' wife left a message on Harry's answering machine and Cox shot Harry with Jack's gun. It was made to look like a murder of jealousy.

The follow up would be natural. They would kill Jack and hide his body to never be found so it looked like he fled with the money. Then they would kill his wife and leave the body in the open to be found as if Jack had found her and killed her too out of jealousy. Leaving her on the boat would've been a nice touch. The children would also need to die and vanish as if they went with Jack.

Aristophanes once wrote, roughly translated...

But was the wife really having an affair?

reply

NO! His wife was not having an affair! As has already been pointed out IN THIS SAME THREAD, Cox stuck a note in front of her eyes and a gun in her ear so she would be forced to record the message on Harry's answering machine that she was leaving Jack because she was in love with Harry. This was a plant for the cops to find, so they would blame Jack for killing Harry in a jealous rage. For crying out loud, do you people EVER watch the entire movie, or are you just too stupid to figure this stuff out on your own?

reply

There wasn't even much to figure out. We actually see the wife being forced to call Harry and read the text on the note.
By the way, I thought it didn't even sound very convincing.

reply

hmm...interesting.

but was the wife in on the affair?

reply

Haha Too funny. You come back after a period of 2 years and then ask the same question. As a joke, I know. But it's really funny, had to laugh.
Well, it's been almost 7 years but I'll post this; we may well keep this going every few years. ha!

I think some people should just turn on subtitles, and pause to read every one of them.
